Hello Explorer Parents!
What: Career Day is rapidly approaching and we need YOUR experiences! Whether you are a nurse, mechanic, astronaut, custodian, pilot, physician, lawyer, dentist, engineer, chef, cosmetologist, banker, business owner...etc - we need YOU!
Why: We are looking for a variety of people interested in spending a day teaching our students about their career. Many of our students are unaware of the career opportunities available to them and this is a fantastic way to provide them with first hand knowledge of potential career paths.
When & Where: Our 2018 Polo Road Elementary Career Day is November 16th from 8:15 am - 2:35 pm. The morning sessions (8:15-11:20 am) will be dedicated to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. The afternoon sessions (11:45-2:35) will be dedicated to our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders.
How: You will be stationed in a classroom and will present six times for twenty minutes each session. Please feel free to bring visual aids, giveaways, promotional ideas etc in order to help make your presentation come alive for our students!
