Attendance Matters

Students are expected to attend "live" class sessions using Google Meet.  Attendance will be taken daily, just as it is when we are in the brick and mortar setting.  Students who attend "live" class sessions will be coded as present.  If a student does not attend a "live" class session, he/she will be coded as absent.

When a student is not able to attend a "live" class session, he/she will watch the recorded lesson and submit the Daily Participation Assignment (DPA).  The student's absence will then be changed to present.  The student will also be responsible for completing and submitting all make-up work.

The Annual Registration process opened in April for the 2020-2021 school year for ALL RICHLAND TWO STUDENTS RETURNING. This process includes providing annual proof of residence, verifying student information, and reviewing and completing parent/guardian contact information. To prevent delays in scheduling your child’s classes for the upcoming school year, please complete this process as soon as possible.  To get started, visit: http://www.richland2.org/annualregistration.

If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please contact our school registrar, Mrs. Debbie Waldrop, at: dwaldrop@richland2.org.

School Supply List

Click here to view the supplies PRE students will need for the 2020-2021 school year.  In order to minimize spread of the Coronavirus and other contagious illnesses during face-to-face learning, each student will only use his or her personal supplies instead of using classroom supplies purposed for a more communal use.

School Calendar

Click here to view the calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.  The Richland Two School Board approved the revised calendar on July 28, 2020 at a special called board meeting.  The first day of school for all students is Monday, August 31

5th Grade Promotion

In order to ensure that we follow CDC guidelines and safety precautions, please make sure that you abide by the following procedures:
  1. Please do not arrive prior to your child's scheduled time. The promotion ceremonies will not begin prior to their scheduled times and if there is a ceremony scheduled prior to your child's, we need time for those cars to exit campus. Also, there is currently active construction on Polo Road and we want to avoid an unnecessary traffic backup.
  2. While waiting in your car, you may view the End-of-Year 5th grade video shared by your child's teacher.
  3. The promotion ceremony can be heard via Facebook Live.  Visit https://www.facebook.com/PoloExplorers/  to access our school's page.
  4. No one will be allowed to exit vehicles while on school campus.
  5. There will be no photo opportunities while on campus.

Kindergarten Promotion

In order to ensure that we follow CDC guidelines and safety precautions, please make sure that you abide by the following procedures:
  1. Upon entering campus, please have your kindergarten child and teacher's name visible in the windshield or hanging on the mirror of your car.
  2. Please do not arrive prior to your child's scheduled time. Our parade and movement of cars will not begin prior to our scheduled time. Polo Road is actively under construction and we want to avoid an unnecessary traffic backup.
  3. You will not be allowed to park or exit your vehicles while on school campus.
  4. There will be no photo opportunities while on campus.
Thank you for helping us all remain safe during this celebration.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Cookie Dough Pick-up

The Polo Road Elementary Cookie Dough Fundraiser pickup has been rescheduled for Friday,  May 8, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 PM in the school's carpool line.  Please note this is our ONLY DAY OF PICKUP! We do not have access to storage that will accommodate orders not picked up and we do not want anyone's order to spoil. So please make arrangements to have your child's order picked up. As with the learning packet pickups, individuals will not be allowed to park or get out of their cars. We will follow curbside delivery procedures to ensure safety for all.  If possible, please plan to arrive prior to 5:00PM in order to avoid the rush and long lines.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our PTO at poloroadpto@gmail.com

Pennies for Patients

Polo Road has accepted the challenge of helping to find a cure for blood cancer! We are joining over 25,000 schools across the nation to make a difference and raise as much money as we can! Over the next couple weeks our Jr. Beta Club and the entire school will be working to help raise money.

A Pennies for Patients letter was provided to take home to parents with instructions for setting up an individual online giving page. Families can create the page and start saving lives. When students create an online fundraising page and start raising money online, they become eligible to receive awesome Hero Gear! Valentine's Day Reminders

Valentine's Day is almost upon us. Although this is an exciting time for most, please keep in mind that this is a regular school day of quality teaching and learning at PRE. As a result, there is no time designated for class parties or celebrations in honor of this holiday. Please refrain from sending cupcakes, ice cream, cookies or any other related items for your child's class.Teachers will, however, be happy to allow students to pass out treat bags and/or trade cards at the very end of the day. If you choose to prepare treat bags or Valentine's Day cards, be sure to include ALL students in your child's class or the treats/cards will be returned to you.
In order to maintain a structured school day with minimal distractions, please be aware  that the Administration or Front office personnel will not deliver gifts to students, including balloons, flowers, teddy bears, etc, on Valentine's Day, February 14th. Please do not bring or have these items delivered to school for your child.
