Cookie Dough Pick-up

The Polo Road Elementary Cookie Dough Fundraiser pickup has been rescheduled for Friday,  May 8, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 PM in the school's carpool line.  Please note this is our ONLY DAY OF PICKUP! We do not have access to storage that will accommodate orders not picked up and we do not want anyone's order to spoil. So please make arrangements to have your child's order picked up. As with the learning packet pickups, individuals will not be allowed to park or get out of their cars. We will follow curbside delivery procedures to ensure safety for all.  If possible, please plan to arrive prior to 5:00PM in order to avoid the rush and long lines.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our PTO at poloroadpto@gmail.com

Principal & AP Get Silly Stringed

Check out some of the photos below showing just how much fun the students had when given the opportunity to silly string Dr. Bosier (principal) and Ms. Jennings (AP).  This was one of the incentives students could receive by donating to the Pennies for Patients fundraiser. Go to Polo Road's Facebook page if you would like to see a brief video of this festive event.

Fundraising Follies

PRE is continuing to accept donations for the Pennies for Patients Campaign.  Students who donate will also have a chance to engage in some very fun activities at school.  Click on the image to learn how your child could get the opportunity to duck tap Mr. Clark or silly string the principal or assistant principal.

Pennies for Patients

Polo Road has accepted the challenge of helping to find a cure for blood cancer! We are joining over 25,000 schools across the nation to make a difference and raise as much money as we can! Over the next couple weeks our Jr. Beta Club and the entire school will be working to help raise money.

A Pennies for Patients letter was provided to take home to parents with instructions for setting up an individual online giving page. Families can create the page and start saving lives. When students create an online fundraising page and start raising money online, they become eligible to receive awesome Hero Gear! Join the Polo Road squad and let’s work together to battle cancer! https://events.lls.org/pages/sc/Polo-Road-Elementary-School-2020

Pathfinder Fitness Challenge

The annual Pathfinder Fitness Challenge (PFC) will be held this Friday, October 12.  The students are excited and have all committed to run and/or walk for a 30 minute period of time on this day.  If you would like to come out and run/walk with your child, please feel free to do so.  If you are not able to run/walk, you can also come out and serve as a cheerleader.  Check with your child's homeroom teacher to verify the time your child will be participating in the PFC.  Please also take a moment to watch this brief video from some of our PRE students who want to share with you (in English and Spanish) a bit more information regarding the PFC.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

This is a reminder that all Cookie Dough Fundraiser monies are due tomorrow, March 15.  With that in mind, please know that you can make these few remaining hours really count.  Don't forget to contact grandma, grandpa, family members out of town, and/or neighbors you know who might also enjoy some of these delicious cookies.  There is even still time to sell 5 or more items and have your child's name entered to win the Taxi ride provided by Dr. Bosier!

Principal Taxi Ride

Has your child sold 5 or more Cookie Dough items?  If so, he or she could be next to receive a Taxi Ride provided by our principal, Dr. Bosier!  The names of all students who sell at least 5 items are entered into a drawing to receive the Taxi Ride to lunch.  Each morning a different name is pulled and the next name could be your child's!  So please keep selling that Cookie Dough!

Darth Vader Visits PRE

What do you do when Darth Vader shows up at your school?  Sell more COOKIE DOUGH, of course!  Darth Vader made a special appearance at PRE earlier this week to check the progress of how much Cookie Dough our Explorers had sold thus far.  He was pleased with our progress and wants to encourage everyone to continue safely selling to friends and family members; and we'll be sure to keep you posted as to whether or not he makes another appearance!
