Congratulations!!!

We would like to congratulate our very own school nurse, Mrs. Betsy Salcedo.  Mrs. Salcedo was just named the district's Nurse of the Year!  This is a major accomplishment and it really speaks volumes to just how dedicated and caring Nurse Salcedo is. We are very proud of her and hope you will join us in congratulating her!

Afternoon Explorers Registration

Afternoon Explorers, PRE's after school care program, is now accepting applications for the upcoming school year.  If you would like for your child to participate in the program for the 2018-2019 school year, now is the time to complete the application.  All students must register annually in order to remain on the roster, even those currently enrolled.  You may get a hard copy of the Afternoon Explorers Registration forms in the front office or download a copy from the above link.  A $60 registration fee per child must accompany all forms in order to complete the registration process.

Breakfast with Baron

Please feel free to stop by the Panera Bread located at the Village at Sandhill this Friday, May 11, 2018 to chat with Richland Two's Superintendent, Dr. Baron Davis.  Dr. Davis will be there from 8:00am-10:00am and he would love to see you there!  All are welcome to drop-in to have some muffins and coffee while engaging in conversation with Superintendent Davis. 
 

State Testing

Students in grades 3-5 will be taking state testing this week and next.  Please be certain your child arrives to school on time.  Students should be in the building by 8:00am.  Make sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before and eats a healthy breakfast.  We have been preparing students all year for these assessments, so there is no need for stress.  However, please do encourage your child to do his or her personal best.

Annual Registration

The annual registration process has begun for the 2018-2019 school year.  All parents who will have returning students enrolled in any Richland Two school must complete this annual process.  Doing so early ensures that schools are staffed appropriately and aids in proper school scheduling.  If you have a current Richland Two student who will be returning next year, click on the above link to complete the annual registration process.  Parents enrolling new students should click on the new enrollment link and follow the directions given to register a child who is currently not a Richland Two student.  

Interim Reports

Can you believe that we have just about reached the mid-point of quarter 4?  Well we have!  Mid-quarter interim reports will be available via Parent Portal Friday, May 5.  Please log in at that time to see how your child is performing in each of the subject areas and then set some goals for finishing the year strong.  Also, keep in mind the fact that there is still plenty of time remaining in the quarter to make progress in any desired areas as there is still lots of teaching and learning to be done this year.  

Community Conversation Rescheduled

The Community Conversation regarding Safety in our Schools, originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, has been rescheduled to June 25, 2018, 6–7:15 p.m. at R2i2.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to see many individuals in attendance June 25.
