Let's Celebrate!!

November 13-17, 2017

Please help us celebrate ALL of our faculty and staff members who play a  significant role in educating our PreK-5th grade Explorers each and everyday!

Just writing a note of thanks to our bus drivers, custodians, teachers, cafeteria staff, instructional aides, front office staff, coaches, specialists, school counselor, nurse, psychologist, social worker...etc would help to make them feel "especially" appreciated this week.

We are fully committed in making sure that we give 100% of our efforts in educating our students each day for the simple fact that...

Sending a POLO Salute to ALL of our Veterans!

We
our Veterans!

Thank you for your service...from our hearts to YOURS!

Our 5th grade teachers and students enjoyed some "one-on-one" time with several of our parents and community members who are veterans. Students were able to hear their stories and post questions of interest. A HUGE salute to each of you for serving our country and enlightening our students.

Mr. Jay Weaver a retired veteran, came in to speak with  2nd grade students about veterans and the importance of Veteran's Day.  He spoke about his many jobs in the military, the places he has traveled and answered questions that students prepared ahead of the visit.  Students also had an opportunity to experience life as a soldier during drill practice!  It was wonderful and the students loved it.  They presented Mr. Weaver with notes of gratitude for his time served and for coming to our school today.

Choice Program

Richland School District Two students are assigned to
schools based on their residential address.  However, students have the option of applying to magnet schools, schools with magnet programs, other schools within the district through the Choice program. This program offers parents and students residing in Richland District Two the opportunity to request permission to attend a school other than the residentially assigned school. Parents may apply electronically each January or May for placement that will take effect the following school year. Only Richland Two students are eligible to apply and participate in the Richland Two Choice Program.  For additional information on the choice program, click on the link above.

If you are the parent of a current 5th grader and you would like to see the magnet options available for middle school students, click on the following link for a summary of all Richland Two middle school magnet programs.  The application process will begin soon!
