Winter Days Assembly
Mrs. Brown and Dr. Hamilton took the homeroom representatives from grades 3-5 to Spring Valley High School to attend the Winter Days Assembly. PRE students got to see first hand just how impactful their giving was as they heard from some of the actual recipients of their kindness and compassion. In addition to a great assembly, students learned that many of the leading student organizers of this year's Winter Days giving initiative were former Polo Road Elementary students, including Mrs. Brown's son, Johnathan. This was the perfect way to allow students to make some connections and see how they can continue the leadership paths they have begun journeying along here at Polo Road.

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found area is beginning to collect more and more items. Please encourage your child to check it prior to the start of Winter Break. All unclaimed items will eventually be donated to an organization that helps families in need. The lost and found area is right outside the cafeteria, so ask your child to check for any missing jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, etc. when entering or leaving the cafeteria for lunch.
Winter Arts Festival
Polo Road hosted its annual Winter Arts Festival this past Monday and it was awesome! We would like to extend a special thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Floyd-Francis, music teacher, Mr. Batenhorst, and our inspirational choir directors Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. C. Smith for coordinating and choreographing this event. We would also like to say thank you and congratulations to all of the students who participated and worked so hard to make the performance such a success. The festival allowed students to showcase their singing and dancing talents and based on the performances, we are certain we have a few stars among us!
