Early Dismissal & Parent/Teacher Conferences

Polo Road students will be dismissed at 11:30am on Friday, September 27.  The Afternoon Explorers program will be open on this day for all those enrolled.  Teachers will be conducting parent-teacher conferences during the afternoon hours.  Please keep in mind the two VERY important reminders listed below:

• If your child's mode of transportation home on September 27 is going to differ from the norm, please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible.
• All parents who will be entering the school for conferences will need to bring a government issued picture id in order to sign in to the school's Ident-a-Kid system.

WATCH D.O.G.S

Thursday September 12th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm we will be having our 1st annual ‘Dads’ Pizza Night at our school. You will meet here at the school cafeteria at 6:00 pm for FREE pizza and drinks.  At 6:30pm we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.^® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.^® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life.  Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.

Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school. 

In order to participate, you need to do two things: 

1. Fill out this form and return it with your student (ASAP) saying that you will attend the pizza night.  This will allow us to have an accurate head count in planning and purchasing the food.
2. Mark your calendars and we’ll see you, Thursday September 12th 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Picture Day

Students will be taking their fall pictures Monday, September 9. Envelopes with package options and pricing were sent home last week.  Online orders can be placed by going to www.strawbridge.net and entering the code FM314575.  Every student will be photographed, but to receive pictures, orders must be placed and paid for by the morning of September 9.  Checks should be made payable to Strawbridge Studios or exact cash can be sent in for payment. The fall pictures will be featured in the school yearbook.
