We are so excited to let you know that the deadline to pre-order Polo Road's 2019 yearbook has been extended! Students can pre-order yearbooks until Friday, March 29. Orders can be placed online by visiting ybpay.lifetouch.com and entering the yearbook ID code of 12155619 or by completing and returning the yearbook order form that was sent home again today.The yearbooks will be printed in full color and can be ordered in a soft or hard cover. They can also be personalized. So don't wait, order one for your child today. Yearbook prices will increase after the March 29th deadline and students will no longer be able to personalize their books or order additional yearbook accessories.

Fireflies Reading Program
Only one week remains for the Fireflies Reading Program. The last day for recorded reading is March 27, so be sure your child turns in his or her form to receive the free ticket and don't forget to mark your calendars for our scheduled game Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 6:05pm. Happy reading, all!
Camp Invention
North Springs Elementary will once again be a host site for Camp Invention this summer. Camp Invention is a one week STEM summer program that promotes problem solving skills and innovative thinking. It is open to all students in grades K-6 and will be held July 15 - July 19, 2019 from 9:00am - 3:30pm each day at the school. North Springs Elementary is located at 1300 Clemson Road and the cost for the week is $235. However, there are early registration discounts. The 2019 Young Scientist Challenge
The 3M Young Scientist Challenge is back and searching for passionate 5th-8th graders across the country ready to harness their curiosity to solve real-world problems through science and innovation! For the chance to win an exclusive mentorship with a 3M scientist and up to $25,000, students are encouraged to submit their innovative ideas within the six entry categories; improving health, improving safety, improving connectivity, improving the environment, improving energy consumption, and improving the community.
Entering is as Easy as 1-2-3! Students should...
1. Identify a problem they are passionate about
2. Brainstorm a solution to the problem
3. Film a short 1-2 minute video and submit it for the chance to bring their idea to life

Interested students are encouraged to get started right away. They can use the downloadable storyboard and project template, available in both English and Spanish to start brainstorming ideas. All entries must be submitted by May 7, 2019 at 8:00PM ET.

Reading Buddies
To celebrate Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss' birthday, some of our students in the older grades paired up with younger students to enjoy reading together.
