Winter Arts Festival
Polo Road hosted its annual Winter Arts Festival this past Thursday and it was simply wonderful! Thank you to all of the students, faculty, and families who helped out and made this evening possible. All students were able to view the recorded performance today prior to leaving for Winter Break. Ask your child to share with you something he or she enjoyed about the performance and below check out a few photos from the event. Polo Road would like to extend a special thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Floyd-Francis and our music teacher, Mr. Batenhorst for putting together such a fabulous show. We would also like to thank Mrs. Luqmaan and Mrs. C. Smith for putting together and working with such an amazing inspirational choir.

Box Tops
Please continue to clip, save, and send in all Box Tops that are not expired. Since Polo Road receives 10 cents for every Box Top collected, this is a perfect way for all families to be able to make a donation to the school. Collection sheets were sent home with students earlier in the school year, and sheets can also be downloaded from the school's website under the PTO tab. Families can also click on the Box Top Collection form link to access a copy. You may also want to enlist the support of grandparents and other friends and family members who do not have school-age children to help in your collection efforts. Click here to view a complete list of all participating Box Top products.

Expedition Book Club
Do you have a special occasion coming up soon? Well, you can make a special occasion even more special by donating a book to the school's media center. PRE's Expedition Book Club is a great way to recognize special events such as birthdays and holidays, honor someone special, or acknowledge special accomplishments or milestones. Participating families contribute $10 per book and students appear on the school's morning news show and receive an invitation to a Book Club party. During the party, students choose the books to be donated and plates including the students' names are placed in the front of the books. The first Expedition Book Club party will be held this Friday, December 7. If you would like to have your child participate in the spring Book Club party, you can download an Expedition Book Club form and return it to school with your child. Students who turn in forms now will participate in the May 17, party. If you have any questions regarding the Expedition Book Club, please contact Mr. McTeer at jmcteer@richland2.org.
