Ms. LeCinda Jennings-

Assistant Principal

LeCinda Jennings’ educational work experience began as school Secretary-Treasurer before moving into the classroom as a teacher, English department chair, and currently as an assistant principal. A proud military veteran, this former Teacher of the Year has worked in both the public and private sector and in rural, suburban, urban school districts in North and South Carolina. Teaching experiences in grades PreK-8 have all helped to establish an extensive collection of valuable experiences in the field of education.
An advocate for all children, she finds pleasure in serving students and families from various backgrounds. In addition, she has a heart for mentoring and currently serves on the district’s Mentoring Steering Committee. She spearheaded efforts as the founder of a boys mentoring organization, K.I.N.G.S. that continues to flourish. Additionally, Ms. Jennings’ educational gifts extend into the community via her very own nonprofit organization. She is the CEO and founder of Girls of Leadership and Distinction, (G.O.L.D.), a 501(c) (3) organization that inspires girls of today to flourish into strong, smart, and bold leaders of the future. Since 2007 G.O.L.D. has successfully served over 250 girls and young ladies through exposure to service learning, goal-setting, academic initiatives, and college and career readiness skills.
In her spare time this first-time author enjoys reading, learning about other cultures, traveling, football, and spending time with loved ones.

Mr. Kenneth Brazell

Assistant Principal

Kenny Brazell grew up in Lugoff, South Carolina.  Beyond graduation, he attended Lee University, a small college just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary English, with a minor in Bible History and Youth and Christian Education,  he received his Master's Degree and Specialist's Degree in Administration and Curriculum from Tennessee Technological University...good ol' Tennessee Tech.  Thereafter, he began his teaching career in 2001 as a English, Language, and Literature Teacher at Northwest Whitfield High School in North Georgia. In 2007, he decided to move back home to South Carolina, and I became an 8th Grade  ELA Teacher at White Knoll Middle School.  While there,  he served as the English Department Chairperson,  the male single gender classroom teacher, a member of the School Improvement Council, and student tutor.
In 2014, he began his career in administration at Pelion Elementary School and has found a distinct joy for the elementary level! Now, four years later, he is proud to say he is now a member of the family of PREMIER Richland School District Two to serve as Assistant Principal at Polo Road Elementary.
His areas of certification and training include several areas, which are Middle Level ELA Certification, Secondary ELA Certification, Elementary and Secondary Administration, as well as teaching gifted and talented students, teaching single gender students, co-teaching secondary model, as well as trained evaluator for SC Teacher Evaluation System ...just to name a few.
He truly enjoys the study of history, reading, spending time at the beach and traveling. He's the proud father of a son, 15, and a daughter, 9.  He constantly hangs his hat on the fact that they make life fun and exciting! He attests that he is blessed beyond measure to not only be a parent, but also to have the opportunity to help serve and prepare our next generation of great leaders, thinkers, and world changers.

Summer Reading

Now that the school year has come to an end, there will be plenty of time for your child to curl up with a good book or two.  To encourage students to read throughout the summer and to help avoid the dreaded summer-slide, PRE is implementing a painless summer reading program.  All your child has to do is read and record his or her reading.  All students in grades K-4 received hard copies of this information prior to the end of school.  However, please feel free to use the attached Summer Reading Log and Bingo Board to record your child's summer reading.  Send in the completed sheets when we return in August and your child will be invited to participate in a reading celebration.
